Peter
I finished Peter! I really like how he turned out. On my last post I did a painting of Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and their mother. On that one I outlined everything with a dark brown colored pencil which worked pretty well but, on this one, I outlined it with paint and I like it a lot better. I realize that it's not exactly the same as the original but I like it.

Beatrix Potter
For an art class sort of thing that I'm taking I chose nine artists that I would like to learn about and then copy some of their work. The first one I chose was Beatrix Potter. I love her art!
This is the painting I chose. I really enjoyed painting it. This is the original. Sorry for the lack of picture quality. I had been painting outside so it was on a clip board. That's what the shadow is at the top. I also was testing pens and pencils around the outside so that's what all the little marks are around the edge.
For some reason this picture turned sideways when I uploaded it to my blog and I can't figure out why or how to fix it. But anyways, this is the sketch.
This is after I painted it. I forgot to take a picture before I outlined the mamma rabbit but you get the idea.
Renewed
My name is Jenny and this is my blog. Just pretend that the first part of it doesn't exist. It was originally used for a Fitness for Life class, so it's pretty boring and should therefore be avoided. This blog, from now on, is just for random stuff that I feel like posting. That may include art projects, craftiness, maybe photography, random things about my life, and family, etc.
Watch out for my next post about a watercolor painting I copied from Beatrix Potter's book, "Peter Rabbit".
