Beatrix Potter

For an art class sort of thing that I'm taking I chose nine artists that I would like to learn about and then copy some of their work.  The first one I chose was Beatrix Potter.  I love her art!

This is the painting I chose.  I really enjoyed painting it. This is the original.  Sorry for the lack of picture quality.  I had been painting outside so it was on a clip board.  That's what the shadow is at the top.  I also was testing pens and pencils around the outside so that's what all the little marks are around the edge.

 For some reason this picture turned sideways when I uploaded it to my blog and I can't figure out why or how to fix it.  But anyways, this is the sketch.

This is after I painted it.  I forgot to take a picture before I outlined the mamma rabbit but you get the idea.

 This is the finished product.  I think it turned out really cute.  You may be wondering where Peter Rabbit went in my picture.  Well I painted this on a  4 x 4 1/2 inch piece of paper and he wouldn't fit.  I'm planning on doing him on a separate paper in the near future.
